HVAC module, that is a zone air-conditioning system that allows temperature control to be carried out separately in the driver and passenger areas, is installed in every vehicle – we typically are not aware of its existence, but use it nonetheless without having to analyse its function. We set the desired temperature and air outlet direction. Some vehicles are equipped with air conditioning, others only have the heating function, but it does not change the fact that the whole process of supplying air to the passenger cabin is carried out by HVAC.
With a production capacity of 150,000 HVAC modules annually, a new product leaves the assembly line every 2 minutes. The production process is based on manual assembly with automatic inspection stations controlling the basic HVAC functions (flows, leaks and noise). HVAC modules are currently manufactured for two customers: SCANIA (5 models) and DAF (two models).
